Hi,
Let me introduce myself. My name is Melissa Hall(maiden name: Parker), I am 23, and married for 3 years now, and I will be having our son Nathanael Rian Hall, in about 4 weeks!
These first pictures are of my first show horse, Sandy. An Arabian gelding, that taught me so much!! The best horses I have had over the years were Arab, or part Arab. Sandy was 15 when we my parents bought him for me. We had horses before that, but he was my first well trained horse.
Keep checking back, I'm gradually adding new pictures! These are just the first. I'll tell you the rest of the story about my Paint gelding, Budde when I add his pictures.

I rode him just for fun the first 2 years I had him, and then I was introduced to Rose Hall(not related). She showed me how to find all the little secret buttons that Sandy had, that I never knew about! He had been shown alot before I got him, but I didn't know the first thing about showing, or 4-H. Our first year we did quite well, but I fought him allot because I thought he should always know what I want, even if I'm not telling him correctly. Well, I learned that allot of the time a well trained horse doesn't do what you tell him, is because of you, not him.

Our second year of showing and 4-H, we did awsome! everything came together. We won a belt buckle, and a few highpoints at open shows, and lots of blues. We also went to State horse fair and won medallion in English. Well, I had bought a Paint yearling gelding a year before, and Rose was helping me train him,(you'll see pics of him soon) so we decided to sell Sandy since I was out growing him. I look back now and wish we had never sold him. The girl that we sold him to took lessons from me for maybe 2 years, but she never had the drive and soon stopped taking lessons. She still stayed in 4-H, but never let Sandy take her to his full potential. She could have been awsome with him. Her equitation was wonderfull, but she was always fighting with him. They still have Sandy, and take good care of him though. He is 28 now!! Her siblings learned to ride on him too, and her younger sister is doing very well in 4-H. If we hadn't sold him, I guess I wouldn't have been able to buy my western show saddle!
